Admission Policy /Reopening

Like every other year we began this academic year with the admission work in the month of May. Along with the office staff our teaching staff also worked hand in hand to scrutinize the details about every single applicant to abide strictly by the admission policies of our college. As known to you Jyoti Nivas is run by the Society of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes, which firmly believes in the mission of education for uplifting the society. Consequently we do everything possible within the norms laid down for minority institutions by the state government to admit first generation learners and the underprivileged even if they have minimum qualifying percentage. Although we encounter certain difficulties, these do not deter us from pursuing our mission. I am proud to say that all the institutions that belong to the society of St.Joseph of Tarbes follow this ideology.
This academic year 965 students were admitted to the I pre- University courses, 472 to the science courses, 397 to commerce courses and 96 to Arts.

Classes for the II PU Students began from the 1st of June 2015 and for the fresher’s from the 11th of June.
