Golden Jubilee Report

The highlight of the year is for us/ without any doubt/ the GOLDEN JUBILEE . Preparations for the Golden Jubilee celebrations began months in advance. On the 11th of August the celebrations began.70 priests had been invited for the inaugural mass. The programme was a cultural splendor. The history of the college was presented as a dance drama .The principals of the past 50 years took us back to the times of their journey through the portals of Jyoti Nivas .
Day 2 Saw the entire college in bright yellow,geared up to participate in the 20 km walkathon from St.Fracis Xavier school (the old campus of Jyoti Nivas college )to the present campus in Koramangala. Principals, Staff and Students began the walkathon, carrying the lit torch and the banner of the college, completing it successfully. Day 3 was dedicated to HEALTH AND WELBEING. 50 stalls were put up on the campus to cater to well being.
At this moment we are obliged to thank all those who have helped us in different capacities.
First and foremost I thank the noble and dedicated band of my sisters- the family of sisters of St. Josephs of Tarbes, I am exceptionally grateful for their constant supplication to the almighty which has showered us with blessings in all our endeavors. Sr. Josephine Hoover, Manager of jyoti Nivas Pre University college and superior Jyoti Nivas community for the constant support, presence and good counsel. We are ever grateful. I applaud the hostel warden Sr. Rosarita for extending her love, warmth and parental care to the young ones entrusted solely to our care . I also thank the librarians Sr. Lavina, Sr.Sapna and their staff for all their services. A special word of appreciation and gratitude to my dear Sisters. Nathalia, faculty member and Sajitha Jose Administrator for their generosity, for spending time and thoughts to look after the concerns of the college and the campus. Thank you very much Sajitha and Nathalia.
The unconditional services of the staff whose dedication, co-operation and hard work marked by their sincerity of purpose has aided the progress of the institution and helped us scale the heights of success. My dear staff thank you very much. Mrs. Camilla Paul and Mrs.Zaina Abraham student advisors for this academic year with their good counsel, constant vigil and efforts to motivate were beacons of light, leading and guiding our student union. I thank and appreciate their immense contribution. My deep sense of gratitude to the administrative staff and support staff who have liberally extended their co-operation and spared their precious time without counting the cost. Heartfelt thanks to the sports coaches Mr. John and Mr. Chandru who are exceptionally dedicated to the training of our students.
We also thank the Pre University board for their cooperation and good will towards us. In retrospect I admit that god had showered us with his blessings and protected us at every step we have taken to make the year a success. I am confident that the coming year will find us sailing high and smiling again. I thank each and every one of you once again for all support and co-operation.

Golden jubilee celebrations will conclude during the course of the year.
For us Sisters of St. Josephs of Tarbes the overwhelming feeling is that of gratitude/ that we have been miraculously navigated through these 50 years/ by the ALMIGHTY LORD.
Ladies and Gentlemen I conclude by surrendering and offering all that we have achieved to the Lord, praising and thanking him on behalf of my sisters I conclude with the words of the Psalmist

The LORD is God and he has made his light shine on us.
You are my God, and I will praise you;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
His love endures forever.
