16 Aug Teachers Day
5th September a day dedicated to the teachers, the management recognized the teachers as special member of the JN family and organized various programmes to fill teachers with awe and happiness on that day. Students went around wishing all the teachers and making happy with the token of their love in the form of presenting gifts. After which teachers had, a workshop conducted on the role of a teacher in students’ life by Ms Doorain Rasquinah, a former student of Jyoti Nivas College. While teachers were engaged in the worship, the college also arranged some activities to make that time fruitful to the students by inviting a group that enlightened the students about various addictions and the dangerous nature of any addiction. Teachers had a mass at chapel followed by a fellowship meal. The students had organized a cultural programme for the teachers, which began at 1.30 PM and went until 3Pm.
The college acts as an active member of the society, by shouldering the responsibilities to uplift humanity and take interest in establishing common good in its small actions. A talk by T Abraham Jose, on the persecution of the Christians in Iraq was organized on 12 September in which he inspired individuals irrespective of their religion to fight for the reestablishment of humanity in the world.
