1. The unit observed “World No Tobacco Day”, and attended one day workshop to raise awareness about drug use and its impact on its users.
2. To educate the community about the risks and prevention of dengue fever, and to promote collective efforts in combating the disease an informative street play as awareness programme was organised by the NSS unit. Creative posters and placards were displayed in the building with the objective of grabbing the attention of the community with eye-catching designs and messages.
3. On the occasion of international yoga day an energetic practice of yoga was held by our NSS volunteers with a resounding success, marked by a blend of spiritual reflection and physical exercise. Experienced yoga instructors, Mrs.Shwetha M K and Ms.Meenakshi led the students through various asanas and guided meditation sessions aimed at fostering inner peace and mindfulness were well-received by the students.
4. For the yearly intercollegiate fest ARTEMIS, conducted by our college held on the 30th and 31st of August, the volunteers helped to maintain the decorum. The annual campus cleaning program was held on the 31st of August, the second day of the fest.
5. To encourage the volunteers to lend a helping hand to the needy, the Dhaan Utsav was held every Tuesdays and Thursdays of August and September. The volunteers distributed food and clothing to the needy around the locality.
6. On 28th of September, a Swachata oath were taken by the students to promote cleanliness and importance of self-awareness about cleanliness. Thus, pleading themselves to be responsible citizens and promote national cleanliness.
7. On the 2nd of October, the NSS volunteers participated in a rally from Ghandi Bhavan to Vidhana Sudha, conducted by the state government to celebrate the birthday of the father of our nation. The volunteers also participated in Swachh Abhiyan, a collective cleaning of the classrooms and the campus on Ghandi Jayanthi.
8. On the occasion of the 155th birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation, the state government organized a special program to honor his extraordinary vision. Among the many schools and colleges invited, our institution was privileged to be chosen for an interactive online session with the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Representing our college, Divya P. Budihal from 2nd SEBA A had the remarkable opportunity to engage with the Chief Minister in a thought-provoking question-and-answer session, this was followed by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a rally and campus cleaning drive.
9. On the occasion of Independence Day, the unit participated in a flag-hoisting ceremony and conducted a painting competition. They celebrated NSS Day with an awareness assembly and hosted a Street play on women's empowerment.
10. The annual NSS Camp was held at the Campus of Sisters of Tarbes, from the 6th to the 12th of October at T-Gollahalli, Kolar, with 45 volunteers and 5 teachers. Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Daan Utsav, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao talks, and other activities were held with a sole view of rural development and value education.
