The Department of Statistics in Jyoti Nivas PU college is committed to excellence in teaching and equipping students to become practicing statisticians. The primary objectives of the department are to acquaint students with various statistical methods and their application in different fields, cultivate statistical thinking among them which is expected to improve student’s ability to analyse various types of real-life data.
Continuous and comprehensive evaluation of the students in theory as well as practical is ensured, as it plays an important role for the required mode in the teaching learning process.
The department also encourages the analysis of projects based on real data to foster an innovative and analytical approach to learning statistics.
