Ankura, meaning “delicate sprouts,” nurtured a deep love for our land and language. The club organized competitions in essay writing, poetry, and art to showcase student talent. As part of the Parigna the club organised an enriching Exhibition. Ankura played a pivotal role in the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, spreading pride through dance and music, ensuring our rich culture continues to blossom.
Ankura, the Kannada Club, was established to celebrate and promote the richness of the Kannada language, heritage, and culture.
This academic year, its journey began with a series of vibrant activities, including:
• Essay Writing – Encouraging students to express their thoughts on Kannada literature and culture.
- Debates – Providing a platform for intellectual discussions on significant topics.
- Story Writing & Poetry Composition Showcasing creativity through narratives and verse.
- Singing & Dance Performances – Celebrating traditional and contemporary Kannada music and dance.
- Drama Performances – Bringing Kannada literature to life through theatrical expressions.
- Crossword Challenges – Enhancing linguistic skills and knowledge of Kannada heritage.
- “Pick and Speak” Competitions Testing spontaneous speaking abilities on diverse topics.
In addition to these activities, Ankura Sangha plays a pivotal role in organizing auditions for Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations and actively encourages students to participate in intercollegiate fests.
