The NCC unit exemplifies discipline and resilience. The year commenced with an insightful visit to the 515 Army Base Workshop, giving 5 cadets a rare look into military engineering. Our cadets honed their skills at Combined Annual Training Camps held at Jalahalli Air Force Station in May and September. Their dedication was rewarded with 1st Place in the Drill Competition. We proudly recognize our individual achievers:
• Cadet Soudune Phoebe (II HESP) excelled in physical training at the Thal Sainik Camp in Tumkur.
• Cadet Vedika Singh from 2ad PCMB "A" and Cadet Priyanka from 2ad PCMB "C" attended the Combined Annual Training Camp organized by the One Karnataka Girls Battalion and were selected for RDC trials. They also attended inter- battalion camp organized by the One Karnataka Naval unit NCC at Jalahalli East Air Force Station. To add another feather to our cap, Cadet Priyanka from 2d PCMB "C" is selected for preRD camps. and has also attended inter- group camps.
Cadet Hamshi. L from 2nd PCMB B participated in the Special Integration Camp (SNIC) at Tura, Megalaya conducted by North Eastern region 12 Batallion NCC.
The unit also observed Kargil Vijay Diwas and Independence Day with solemn tributes, instilling a deep sense of patriotism in the student body.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India, known for shaping the youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens, is thriving at Jyoti Nivas College. Under the able leadership of Dr. Captain H.K. Roopa Rani, the cadets actively participated in a wide range of activities during the academic year 2024-25, showcasing remarkable dedication and achieving notable milestones.
Cadet Geshna T and Cadet Sitara Thangamma M G participated in the All-India Nilgiri Trekking camp from 16th to 23rd May 2024 at Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore and Ooty) conducted by 1KAR GIRLS BN, Bangalore ‘A’ group. These 8 days of trekking camp helped cadets to develop stamina, endurance, self-confidence, team spirit and survival skills.
Lance Corporal Jyothi K actively participated in Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) from 20th to 31st May 2024 at JNV DMG Halli, Mysuru, conducted by Karnataka Girls Battalion NCC, Mysuru group. The camp promoted a sense of unity and nationalism amongst the participating NCC cadets and paired states.
18 cadets of Jyoti Nivas College attended a ten day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at Brindavan college of Engineering. which trains the cadets to gain leadership qualities, unity, personality development, first aid and other skills.
On 21st of June, the cadets actively participated in the celebration of International Yoga Day which was organised by Akshar Yoga Kendraa at Tripura vasini, palace grounds.
On July 12th, the cadets actively participated in a rally aimed at raising impactful awareness about the use of plastic.
July 26th commemorates Kargil Vijay Diwas, NCC cadets organized a poignant assembly to enlighten fellow students about the significance of Kargil war and highlighted soldiers’ selfless contributions.
