Freshie Queen 2026 was successfully held on 31st July 2026 at the Jyothi Auditorium, Jyoti Nivas Pre-University College. The programme was inaugurated by Sr. Nalini Cruz, Sr. Nathalia D'Souza, Sr. Sintea Rebello, Dr. Sr. Sagaya Mary B., and Sr. Annamary. The event was based on the vibrant theme "Rewind to 2016," which brought back the nostalgia of the iconic era through fashion, music, and pop culture. Students enthusiastically embraced the theme by dressing in 2016-inspired outfits, creating a lively and colourful atmosphere across the campus. The competition received an overwhelming response, with 207 contestants participating in the first round. After the initial selection, 28 contestants advanced to the second round, from which 16 finalists were chosen for the grand finale. The finalists creatively portrayed male celebrities in female versions, showcasing originality, confidence, and stage presence. The competition was judged by Mr. Joel Jazz, a model, DJ, and beatboxer, and Ms. Hema Namashivaya, an accomplished academician, whose expertise and valuable feedback added great significance to the event. Following the subsequent rounds, eight contestants advanced further, and finally four finalists competed for the prestigious titles. Shivani Ravi Palankar (PCMC B) was crowned Freshie Queen 2026 for her portrayal of Donald Trump, while Samara Miriam Joe (PCMB C) was awarded the title of Freshie Princess 2026 for her portrayal of Bruno Mars. An exciting Inter-Class Theme Competition was also conducted. I PCMB B and II PCMB D emerged as the winning classes from the Science Stream, while I SEBA A and II HESP were declared the winners from the Commerce & Arts Stream. The programme was successfully organised under the guidance of the Student Advisors, Mrs. Rekha P. Mathew, Mrs. Anthony Jasmine A., and Ms. Agnes Cathrine, along with the dedicated efforts of the Student Council of Jyoti Nivas Pre-University College. Freshie Queen 2026 was more than just a pageant; it was a celebration of confidence, creativity, and self-expression. The event concluded on a memorable note, leaving students with cherished memories and making it one of the most vibrant highlights of the academic year.
